Dear Chase
Treva Kennedy
Dear Chase,
I think we can both agree that we have a love/hate relationship.
I mean, I love it when you give me things,
But expecting me to give you something equal in return and then some,
Just isn’t fair.
Some people give out of the goodness of their hearts,
But you just don’t seem to have one.
You say I ask a lot from you.
And that sometimes I ask too much.
But why can’t you just tell me up front when I’m being this way?
Instead, you do what I want,
Then punish me unexpectedly later.
And you’re so complicated.
I understand that you have a lot on your mind,
But some simple direction about how to make our relationship work
would be nice.
I hate how you feed off of my mistakes.
And when someone finds out our secrets,
You could at least warn me instead of waiting
until I figure it out on my own.
By then there’s always such a mess to clean up.
It’s true that you’ve taken some of the weight off of me,
I mean, in all honesty, it is easier to be alongside you
Than George or Andrew or Abe.
But that doesn’t make up for your fickleness.
One day you pretend to be my friend,
The next day you yell at me
And tell me I’m irresponsible.
The last straw was when you cheated on me.
You in the hand of someone else.
I can hardly bear to think about it.
And you let her drain our bank account.
That’s it.
We’re through.
I can do better than you.
Wells Fargo is nicer looking anyways.
Sincerely,
Your Undervalued Customer
