Submissions

Nameless Magazine accepts original works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art, film and music throughout the academic year from UC Davis undergraduate artists. Chosen submissions will be published online quarterly, though we do our best to respond to each artist with constructive critiques on their work.

Please submit your work to namelessquarterly@gmail.com after reading the following submission guidelines.

Guidelines

  • For prose: maximum of around 3,000 words; indicate an approximate word count on the first page and a genre on the last page (satire, parody, romance, etc.).
    For poetry: up to 5 per submission.
    For art/photography: up to 5 per submission, please provide an image of at least 600×800 pixels. Titles are encouraged.
  • Submissions should be sent as attachments, not in the body of the e-mail.
    Prose and poetry should be in .doc format
    Images in .jpg format
    Please specify the type of submission (poetry, short fiction, excerpt, art, etc.) in the subject line.
  • Attached documents should have the following file names (complete with capitals and spaces):
    Art – Your Name – Title.jpg
    Fiction – Your Name – Title.doc
    Nonfiction – Your name – Title.doc
    Photography – Your Name – Title.jpg
    Poetry – Your Name – Title.doc
  • Include your name and contact information in the body of the e-mail.

*Note: We are not obligated to read submissions that do not adhere to these instructions. Submissions must come from UC Davis undergraduates.
